Stone henge

Next stop was "Stone Henge Inn", a pub, stands alone beside street.
We were dropped off from bus to get lunch.
Literally, there was no choice other than bring lunch by yourself.
It was deserted area.
The guide said the lunch was quite nice, traditional English dishes.
In fact, it was VERY traditional English dish.
For me, it tasted like frozen food.
What was more disappointed me was the place smelled badly.


anyway, I put something in my stomach, we went on the journey.

次にバスが止まったのは「ストーンヘンジ・イン」というパブです。
道路沿いにポツンとあるそのパブの前で下ろされて昼食となりました。
弁当を持参する他には、このパブで食べる以外選択肢は全くない不毛の地でした。
バスガイドは「伝統的英国料理でとってもナイス」と言っていましたが
「伝統的」なだけあって冷凍食品の味がしました。
それより何より、パブが臭かったのが一番しょんぼりです。


まあ、何はともあれご飯は食べたので旅は続きます。

Stone henge was stand in the middle of green farm.
It just like we can see in pictures.

No surprise.
Stone henge is now protected from visitors passion to bring a piece back to home or that of silly students to state their name on this heritage.
This means, we cannot get closer to it, needless to say it is untouchable.


We can feel how big it is.
We can wonder how those stones carried and for what purpose.
That's it.
Since it was very breezy and nothing protect us from wind in the middle of field,
I felt person like me, with no six sence, can be satisfied within 30 min.

ストーンヘンジは畑が続く緑の平地のど真ん中にぽつんとあります。
そのまんま、写真の通りです。


ストーンヘンジは現在、石に名前を彫ったり、かけらを持ち帰ろうとする
残念な旅行者から保護されており、よってもって我々は実際に石に触れたりすることはできません。
遠巻きに眺めるだけです。
それでも、その巨大さは実感できます。
その巨大な石をどうやって運んだんだろうかと空想することもできます。
それだけですが。
強風の中、風よけのない場所で立ち尽くす以外はすることがあまりありません。
私のように霊感のない人は30分もいれば十分な観光地だと思います。
